This waterfall is one of the more famous ones along the Milford Track because it is so beautiful. The water in streams and rivers is rainwater filtered by trees, and is among the few places on earth where you can drink pure water straight from a stream. All of the water along the Milford Track tasted amazing, but the water we collected here at the base of McKay Falls was the best tasting water I’ve ever had. A bit of heaven, right there to be poured into a water bottle.
